Growth group or Bible Study questions for the week of February 18. 1. What elements of Sunday’s message at church were of particular interest to you? 2. Have you ever been to a famous landmark or memorial that made a deep impression on you? 3. When we are moved by actions of others from the past, what goes through your mind? what emotions seem to be present? 4. Read Josh 4: 21 What role did Joshua play in the spiritual development of those yet to be born? How can we do similar? 5. Oftentimes speaking about our faith to our children is difficult. Why do you think that is so? Why is it that a memorial (like the 12 stones) can seem to spark the right kind of conversations. 6. It is often said, "seeing is believing". Do you recall any more people or characters whose middle name is "the"? i.e. Attila the Hun... 3. How do you feel about Rahab telling a lie in order to hide the spies? Was that right or wrong? 4. Go through the story and identify all of the times people valued other people. Why do you think we struggle with the negative side of labeling people? 5. If you could save everyone who was in your house from some impending doom, how would go about warning them? Choosing them? 6. Discuss Joshua 2:11. 7. What is significant about vs. 21? 8.
