The Christmas story has some great examples of guidance. What is one of your favorites?
1. What elements of Sunday’s message at church were of particular interest to you? 2. Awkwardness comes with life. What are a few of the most awkward moments you survived? Have you been able to witness for Christ in an awkward way? 3. Part of reaching out requires a good knowledge of the Bible. Where do you feel you need more help? 4. True Christianity has much to offer an unbeliever. In John 4, Jesus had much to offer the woman. Make a list from this story. What else does a Bible believer have to offer an unbeliever? 5. Read John 1:50. Jesus promised Nathaniel he would see "greater things". What did the disciples see that was amazing? What have you seen? 6. When confronted with awkward lifestyles or people groups, why do we often hesitate to get involved with our message? How can we better take the initiative? 7. Read James 2:15-17. How does this apply to our duties as Christians to witness in word and deed? Why is it important to solve imminent needs? 8. Verbalize to your group, in a spiritual sense, who you are and where you came from. ... See more

What elements of Sunday’s message at church were of particular interest to you? If you were given a million dollars, what would do with it? What do you think others might do with their millions? How do you think the following people viewed God? • Pharisees • Romans who occupied Israel • The 12 Disciples (Judas) • People who were healed by Jesus How does a person's viewpoint of God get reflected in their daily life and actions? Read 1 Cor. 7:23, Rom. 12:1, I Pet 1:18-19. These verses all have a common theme. What ties them together? How does that affect our view of God? Why do you think most people do not view themselves as stewards of God's gifts? Read Luke 12:48. We all have been given so much. What do you feel the Lord is requiring of you personally? God promises great joy to his faithful followers. Apart from the joys of heaven and the afterlife, what joys can a good steward expect on this earth? ... See more

1. What elements of Sunday’s message at church were of particular interest to you? 2. Why do you suppose some of Christ's greatest and most memorable miracles were in the Galilee area? 3. How many time did Jesus say "it has been said..." in Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7? What is the significance of him referencing the Old Testament in this way? 4. What is meant by laying up "treasures in heaven"? What Bible characters did this? How do we better invest in heaven? 5. Discuss this phrase: "Stewardship is a part of Discipleship.” 6. How does one better "steward their time"? Do you think "time stewardship" is the beginning of living a benevolent life? What else might trigger us to obey? 7. Read Acts 20:35. Why do you think Jesus used this phrase? What part of your life could benefit from this advice? 8. Read Luke 6:48 and Proverbs 3:9-10. What do they have in common? Which of the three areas seems the strongest to you? 3. Fighting temptations is not easy. What was the common weapon used against Satan in Matthew four? What are some practical ways we can do the same? 4. What are some additional tips for fighting off selfishness? Read First Corinthians 10:13. What element does this add to fighting temptations? Why is this important? 5. Find the Lord's Prayer in the Gospels. What specific phrase deals with temptation? How does that apply? Are there other phrases in the prayer that apply? 6. The first few verses of the Book of James deal with temptations. What affect should they have on us? Do they? Why or why not? 7.
