1. What elements of Sunday’s message at church were of particular interest to you?
2. What is one of your favorite Old Testament miracles? Was it just a physical miracle or was there a spiritual side to it as well?
3. Why do you think God promised the land of Israel to Abraham and his decedents? Do you think it was fair to have the other inhabitants "removed"? Why or Why not?

2. Have you ever been to a famous landmark or memorial that made a deep impression on you?
3. When we are moved by actions of others from the past, what goes through your mind? what emotions seem to be present?
4. Read Josh 4: 21 What role did Joshua play in the spiritual development of those yet to be born? How can we do similar?
5. Oftentimes speaking about our faith to our children is difficult. Why do you think that is so? Why is it that a memorial (like the 12 stones) can seem to spark the right kind of conversations.
6. It is often said, "seeing is believing". What is wrong with this statement? How many instances in the Bible can you name where folks didn't see yet they believed?

4. Go through the story and identify all of the times people valued other people. Why do you think we struggle with the negative side of labeling people?
5. If you could save everyone who was in your house from some impending doom, how would go about warning them? Choosing them?
